RADII
RADII (rā’dē-ī’) is an independent media platform dedicated to bridging the East and West by shining a light on topics and issues that connect a new generation of changemakers. Founded in 2017, RADII produces multimedia content, articles, and events that empower young, globally-minded thinkers, aimed at revolutionizing perceptions of contemporary Asian culture around the world.
The Associate Editor will report to the Editor and is expected to create insightful written content for RADII’s website as well as assist with the editing of texts related to RADII’s video and social media content.
He or she will be responsible for writing both short news articles and informative long-form features that meet the company’s quality expectations and compliment brand positioning and the RADII mission.
In this role, the candidate will pitch and create content, ensure they meet deadlines, and help upload articles and other media to RADII’s website. When necessary, they will be expected to cooperate with and aid other departments with writing and other content-creation needs.
The ideal candidate is proactive, has good time-management skills, is comfortable conducting interviews and in-depth research, and has a firm grasp of what constitutes a good story. They should also be a team player.
A candidate should be deeply informed about — and immersed in — contemporary Chinese culture. They should passionately devour China-related and broader international news and have their finger on the pulse of trends and stories that resonate with young readers.
Most importantly, the candidate should have a strong desire to carry out RADII’s mission of creating new bridges of cultural understanding via original and perceptive youth-oriented reporting on today’s Asia.
