High schooler Eric Zhu organized the pioneering event to help combat declining male fertility.

While most teens stress over prom dates and, well… other things, Eric Zhu was busy organizing competitive ejaculation events. The high school CEO recently transformed Hollywood’s iconic Palladium into ground zero for what could only be described as “The Olympics of Nut.”

But while the concept of “jizz jockeys” seem anything but scientific or serious, the intent behind the world’s first ever sperm face was nothing less than serious. “There could be this dystopian future where no one will be able to make babies,” Zhu told reporters, sounding more like a doomsday prophet than a high school student. His concerns stem from emerging scientific research. Studies suggest global sperm counts have been declining, though the extent remains scientifically debated.

As such, Zhu went about raising $1.5 Million US dollars to help stage the pioneering event, which took place this past Friday 25 of April. The competition—set in a style much like your typical boxing or MMA fight (complete with cheeky “face-off” fights)—featured USC vs UCLA university students’ sperm samples racing through a microscopic 2mm track, magnified 100x and projected onto giant screens. Hundreds of spectators witnessed the microscopic marathon, with high-resolution cameras capturing every scientific detail.

Eric Zhu and his fellow co-founders—Nick Small, Shane Fan, and Garret Niconienko—have proved that innovative health awareness can attract serious investment. Catch the official promo of the world’s first official sperm race below.
